My name is Lenny Giardino. I am a school administrator in Upstate New York. I wrote the book The Quest for Human Decency and the soon to be released No Legislator Left Behind. Welcome to my latest blog. Teachers all across the United States have been relegated to test taking supervisors thanks to NCLB. This website is dedicated to teachers wanting to change education and the damaging impact of NCLB. My goal is to change attitudes of those who believe that NCLB is good for our country. I want teachers to impact both social learning as well as academic learning. Our country has abandoned teachers and thanks to the evolution of a service sector economy, people have learned to treat teachers with disrespect.
Parents and students are also welcomed to respond on this blog. They are impacted by NCLB similar to teachers. They deserve to have a voice for change. Your stories will be heard. This blog is part of my on-going research to support the damaging effects of NCLB. Collectively, stories may be used in future editions of my books or sent to legislators themselves.
